Well I finally removed the tie rods and had front end off the ground. Left side feels smooth. The right side seems to drag a bit when moving left to right. I loosened the bolts to the lower king pin and brought pin down a bit. Seems to move alot smoother side to side. Bearings and races worn? Are the bearings and races easy to get at after removing the top & bottom king pins?

You're move'n right along..!! ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You'll need two king pin re-build sets for ea. side. Ea. set has a seal., bearing., washer., dampener., race., & cup. (4 sets total)

Also., a shim pack.

You could do just the right side for now, if time & $$ are in play. (two sets only)

Once you're done., you'll be ahead of me as mine were new when I bought my rig.

I doubt it's very difficult & Wild Horses up the road will give you pointers as they have the king-pin sets.

I don't think the knuckles have to come all the way off as with the ball joints but they'll know.

You can do it...!!! B)

I have a 1969 Bronco, 3 on the tree with manual steering. Basically pretty stock.

When driving and turning to the right at low speeds the steering seems to hang up like the tire is rubbing , but is not. Really need to crank on steering to turn to the right about half way through the turn. Really notice this when at a stop and then proceed in turning right. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> Going to the left is ok.

Any suggestions?
I read it all could it just be a hub locked, My truck is a rough turn in two wheel and the hubs locked on pavement. Just a instant thought
