Starter

I am having issues starting my bronco when the engine is hot. I have headers that run real close to the starter, but I have a starter blanket wraped around the new starter. I've been told that it could be that my electric coil is either getting to hot or it could just be bad. When I go to start it while its hot it sounds like it doesnt have enough juice to turn the moter over and I have to wait a little while before it will turn over. When its cold the motor will fire right up no problems. Any suggestions?

How "hot" would that be.. do you have an accurate method of knowing the eng. temp.?

This has nothing to do with cranking speed.

Do an all nighter slow charge on battery with fluid at proper level....then have it "load" tested for staying power.
