Just bought a 1969 Bronco and want to overhaul the exhaust system. Has 302 engine and it might actually be the original muffler. Want the 302 to sound GOOD, but don't want to be too obnoxious when I am rolling through the neighborhood. Let me be clear -- I want it to sound GOOD and that is the first priority. I want people to hear when I fire it up, but don't want to be deaf if the top is off.

Questions:

1. Single or dual exhaust? I have read benfits on both, but wanted some opinions from this forum. If I stay single, what would be the best set-up to get great sound?

2. Flowmasters? Have heard they are much better than Magnaflow and they will fit on Early Broncos and not sacrifice much clearance as long as you tuck them away.

Any opinions are welcome -- this is mainly a weekend vehicle with some time spent on the ranch.

Thanks!

"Single or dual exhaust?"

Ahhh., that's the question...?? I don't know of anyone who likes a noisy single exh. pipe. <_<

Depends on the size of you wallet, as usual.

You are set-up for single with a cross-over pipe now.

------- cheapest way -----

If your exh. manifolds are good....you can run two., all the way to the back.

If they're bad., then headers may be in order..$$$.

Worse case scenario is a system that rumbles inside the cab... will drive you insane.!!
