I need a bunch of brake parts and weatherstriping for a 75 and was wondering if any other fellow Canadians have had success shipping parts up north? Is there any dealers you would or would not recommend? I thought the local autoparts suppliers would have what I need but I forget the truck is 33 years old. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about the problem. Unfortunately down in South florida there isn't much I can offer. I'm not quite sure what the problem is with trans-shipping items to Canada but I know the issue exists. about 3yrs ago I actually picked-up a small lathe for a guy from New Brunswick and met him up in Caribou, Maine to hand it off. For some strange reason it had been impossible for him to get one shipped up to him. He tossed it in his trunk & drove it back home. I thought NAFTA took care of those problems for you guys up North but apparently not. What exactly is the problem and what do you need ? I can't speak for everyone but I'm willing to bet someone here can trans-ship the parts to you or meet you over the border if there's no better solution. If you don't hear from anyone else shoot me a PM and I'll repackage them & send them up to you if that's what you need. I have no idea what the problem is but it seems insane, regardless, if you need someone to do this let me know.

What parts do you need kye and where are you??

I have a 4x4 shop here in Calgary AB, never had any problems sourcing brake parts locally, and as for the weather stripping, I can probably bring that in with my next order from Tom's.

E-mail me at the shop...

I deal with shipping every day from Mexico/US/Canada. All you need are two documents. A commercial invoice showing the value of the items and a certificate of origin showing the items originated from one of the NAFTA countries. Mosy US suppliers can provide these upon request. If the items were made in a non-NAFTA country, you will have to pay a tax of usually .021% of teh goods actual value. Mac's Antique Auto Parts ships to Canada with no problems.
