my rear window wont work. the switch on the dash has power and works for up and down. but the window wont move. i ve pulled the window glass and motor. the motor works when hooked to a battery but not with the switch. power is not getting back to tailgate. any help would be appreciated. also does the switch on the tailgate that works with the key have to be good and allow continuity for the dash switch to work the window?

I would say you should try running a set of wires from the dash switch to the motor and see if the window will go up and down, then you will know if it is in the wiring from the switch to the motor. If it just run a new set of wires. Another suggestion would be to make sure your tracks are free and not seized up, that might be another possibility. Good Luck!

figured it out the switch next to the tailgate handle assymbly wasn't working. jump across wires and it worked. i just cut the connector to the switch and hardwired together. now i can roll the window up and down with the tailgate up or down. not really sure why i would want to though.
