yes, had run hot several times, changed thermostat and tuesday it ran hot and ended up with cracked cylinder head. But i had another spare cylinder head. May pass on the shroud now that you told me. My mechanic says it had run hot before apparently because it had stop leak residue in it. He's going to have the radiator redone and fix the engine. I've had it since Jan. and you've helped me with info before...Thanks... my other question is the steering wheel is cocked to the left and i'm wondering how to get the horn cap off to take the steering wheel off to straighten it. It's the metal round cap in center of steering wheel, i've tried to gently pry it off but it didn't seem to want to leave? To my knowledge., the EB I-6's did not come with a shroud. (they run very cool) B)
However, that doesn't mean you couldn't build one., or maybe search a bone yard. (pinto., Mavrick & the like, {if they even had one})
"How do i know what size radiator is appropriate for the size of engine i have."
They (6 cyl. EB's) came with a two core radiator. Only one size fits in that small square hole.
Here in this desert., (I have no shroud) I ran a two core for many years. When I replaced it, I went with a 3 core just because it was available.
BTW..., R/U having a "hot-run" issue..?
