did you change the speakers by the back seat too or just the ones in the doors. did you do all this yourself or did you have somebody do it? i took my radio out and put a piece of stainless steal there with one of those red flip up toggle switches in the center of that. it looks good but now i'm rethinking my original plan to build a center console with a radio in it.

I did it myself, wasnt hard at all. Only speakers in my truck are the door ones, i stripped the interior out becuase im gonna Herculine it soon. So all i have are those 2 speakers in my doors, but it sounds really good and turns up if you want it too.

i changed out all four speakers, and it was very easy, there is four screws, one in each corner of the rear speakers, then the plastiik comes off and there is four screws on the speaker to the plastik then it comes off, that easy.

I lined the sides of mine in diamond alum. tread plate. Left mounts in place for the rear speakers just in front of the rear seat, and put in a hole for my subwoofer way in the back on the right side. I used Grizzly grip for the outside of the bronco, and I might do it on the inside, too. But the aluminium plate looks pretty sharp as is, I think

I remeber seein your diamond plate job on one of your other posts. I thought it was a good idea, but i dont have anything to do nice cuts with and ive never really worked with metal. But im not too worried about not havin any kinda panels in my truck, im pretty ******* it. I also plan to get a 73-79 Ford F250 as a work truck/weekend warrior, so right now at this point im not sure what im gonna do with the bronc...

i'm mostly concerned about the wiring. i'm about to change the carpet in the truck and thought it would be a good idea to run some wires under there while i had the carpet out. i honestly dont know anything at all about sound systems and amps and subs and all that so i dont know exactly what wires to run. if it turns out not to be to hard i might still go with putting a radio in some type of custom console. i guess i'll have to do a little more homework on sound systems.

in my 85 i had two blaupunkt amps mounted in the dash(small) driving 90w subs in each door and two 6x9 100watts by the rear seats. I had some tweeters up on the top of the A pilars and a small speaker in the dash. It sounded really good and having the 90watts in the door made you feel the beat.
