Purchased a 93 Bronco EB 5.8 FI

now i've already been burned once on this bronco

i inquired about it seemed like a deal, $2000 pretty good shape sure it'll drink gas like water, but i've always liked broncos

anyways went to the guy's house the bronc started right up took it for a little drive.

bought it as is, drove it home, was blowing oil, was the rear seal. so the next week went to bring it to the shop and...

the darn thing wouldn't start, called a wrecker, turns out not only did the rear seal needed to be replaced, now the computer had went out. mechanic said it would crank right up if he kept at it for a while

the guy i bought it from had notice from me before i went to his house to check it out and obviously knew it had this problem...

anyways not the bronc's fault was the pos that sold it to me

only main problem now is the rear window motor and some leaking when there is a big rain.

i plan on upgrading this bronco, it's my first auto, i have no idea what i'm doing new to autos in general but this is a good of place to start if any, and i plan to "make it my own"

any help you all could give would be amazing, i will post any updates, and i will update this thread with pictures tomorrow.

thanks,

Derek

Howdy & Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! You'll find some useful info on the rear window problems, leaking rain gutter cracks, and everything else you could think of about your bronco on our good friend Miesk5's Homepage links:

http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3824

The How-To & Tech Articles forum has several pages of specific repairs/ mods as well. And if you need immediate help on a problem, or just have a general Bronco question, the forum members are fantastic & very helpful. The first thing you should look for is a HAynes or Chilton's repair manual for 1980-1996 Ford F-series & Bronco from your local auto parts store for around $20.

Look forward to a few pics of your new Bronco, JSM84
