I have a new, to me, 91 Bronco and I need help with a tailgate problem. The rear window will nopt go down and I need to know how to go about replacing the window motor. Is it in the tailgate and if so, how do I get the gate down to get at the motor? Thanks for any help.

First off, welcome to the Zone > . I would suggest you repost your question in the technical support forum for 80 - 96 . More people will look at it.

Just a brief answer, you need to take off the tailgate access panel to access it. First try jumpering the motor leads that run along the bottom of the gate under the window. If you have a spare battery to take in back with you, it will be a help. The problem may be the latch safety switch or a connection from the driver switch to the tail gate key switch. More about the troubleshooting procedure in the forum. It has been covered numerous times. A very good link page is maintained by Meisk5. He spends a lot of time looking up problems and solutions and provides numerous links to some very helpful information. http://www.home.comcast.net/~meisk5/

If you need more help, repost your question as suggested.

Good luck,

:)>-
