I just inherited my grandfather's bronco which I've wanted since I was a little kid. Its a '74 with the I-6 and three speed. I've been looking at drivetrain options and am not happy with what I've found. I found a 351W for a $100. I want to run and aod or zf 5 speed. Either way I don't like the idea of buying a $450 t-case adapter. I have a friend with a 89 4x4 bronco with aod and transfer case for sell (not sure which one). Why can't I swap his complete driveline with with mine and aviod buying the $450 part. Would I have to have his axles and driveshafts (shortened of course). Any help would be appreciated.
