I have the chance to buy a 75 bronco for 500 bucks. I know absolutely nothing about eb's I have an 86 b2 that I want the axles and drivetrain for. the 75 has no body so it works out pretty good. My question is did all the 75's have a d44 up front or did they still come with the smaller d30(or d35 not sure)? is there any major visual differences between the two? I dont want to make the hour drive if it's something I won't use.

thanks guys and girls

They are 44's up front but they might be a bit too wide?

Why not get a body for it? EB's are worth more than you think. In fact, I hate to say it but you might want to sell the B2 and add some cash into the EB. Or if you like the looks of the B2 put that body on the EB frame. Its more than double the truck!

well i'm building it to tear up and I would hate to build a beautiful eb and then trash it. but don't worry my dream car is a eb i've wanted one since i was a kid. with my new job and making a lot better money don't be suprised if i buy one to restore this sping. there is a guy up the road that has one not sure what year, but i stopped and talked to him a month or so ago and he thought real hard about his answer. it has a beautiful rust free body but no drivetrain. i just need to work out a price with him and i would buy it. i will keep you guys posted on it though.

thanks for the help.

The switch over year was 71 ... mid year switch.

That said, the have been many instances where a previous owner has swapped a 30 into a later year and kept the 44 for there own truck.

If the 72 has ball joints (not kingpins) you can be sure that you have a 44. (the ball joint has one large castle nut, the king pin has 4 small head bolts on the top of the knuckle.)
