So I am thinking of doing something CRAZY... and i want to get everyone's opinion before i make my decision... here's what I want to do...

I want to go find an early 90's F350 Dually with 4WD with either a 460 or a big Turbo Diesel and rip it apart... My idea is to take the front axle, rear axle, motor, trans, and transfer case and stick them in my bronco. This would make it a dually Bronco, and i would get my SAS done... then i want to give it about 4 or 6 inches of suspension lift and some 36's all the way around, with some nice rims.... and yes I plan on taking the "flares" and putting them on the Bronco...

It is something I have only seen once before and i think it is pretty BA looking... what do yous think of my ideas and what problems do yous foresee if i do press with this idea...

depending on what f350, if you get a used city truck then you probably wont have to add a lift it'll already be there. i saw one of those f350 turbodeisel with all the compartments on the back like a power company truck in the junkyard, the leaf springs were about 10 or 12 springs thick i would look into that. thats about as heavy duty in our year as ive seen.

Not too crazy - go for it!!! Back about 20+ years ago, one of the dudes I mud raced against dualed out a shortbed F-150. While it ws done mostly as a show truck, it still hauled A with the 460 in it. I've done about the same thing to the 84 Bronco but with single wheel axles. You'll get 4-5" l,ift just from putting the leafspring axles under the Bronco, JSM84

I saw it done on an early Suburban like a '95 and it was cool, it was stock height but a small lift would be even better. Shootme was right when he said the leaf springs would lift it, I have a 4WD F-350 Dually in my junkyard and it is taller than a stock Bronco is. It is about the height of a Bronco with 4 inch. I say you already have the right idea so go for it, but a little personal opinion, I love the fuel injected 460 (a.k.a. stump puller)

I've seen a dually ramcharger, the full body style like a bronco, once. Once. Said it was from the factory like that. I kinda doubt it, since you can swap an axle or even just dually wheels onto a truck and add the flares over the rear wheels. If you do it, I'd like to see pics of the build, from before, during and after.
