i'm about to service my manual locking front hubs with an aftermarket assembly. i have seen a few brands out there that are catching my eye but i'm not verry certian which one will best suit my needs. i don't do much off-roading but i want to when i want to... ya know? any info. reguarding your personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. i still have all the internals from the factory hubs as well as 2 other sets that i stripped from doners. are the factory hubs the best way to go?

thanks again for reading.

i would go with a set of factory hubs if you got them cheap easy and if you aren't planning on running a really large tires or huge power they will probably last just fine. the only problem i had was the hubs have to be fully engaged before your put your foot in it. or if your want to upgrade try a set of warn. although i think the ford hubs are very comparable.

Hubs aren't something u change out everyday. Why not spend a little extra on the good Warn hubs. They engage much nicer than stock, look better, are stronger, the center is metal vs plastic on stockers. The price difference is pretty small compared to the advantages in my opnion. It would also leave u more options as far as upgrades in the future if your EB becomes a full time off roader.

Warn premiums all the way. There are warn cheapos that are basically the same as the stockers and then there are premiums. They are more money but well worth it. I had warn cheapos on my Bronco until my first winter with the truck, hubs wouldnt engage so I had a 2wd Bronco. I bought premiums right away. 100 times better
