lift questions.

thinkin of getting a 2 inch lift. how much will that cost? i'm not familiar with lifts. do i need to do anything else to the truck? i was told that you need to lengthen the suspension and swap the shocks. what else is needed? what would i need for a 4 inch?

by the way, the truck is a 96 with the 5.0.
