Wow what a deal, I wish I could find one for $200 that was running. They are hard to find. I live in a small town called Fulton, Kentucky and I am the only person that has a 79 Bronco so I feel kinda special. There are two more close to where I live but they dont run. So about 50-100 miles radius around me 78-79 Broncos are pretty much non-existent.

I hope you get yours running good and get it fixed up the way you want it.

I just ordered a load of stuff from NPD the other day for my Bronco. I'm gettin all new weatherstriping for it. I'm also starting the process of removing all the factory rubber mat so the floor can be lined with something.

Yeah I see alot of newer Broncos running around where I live to. I'm kinda glad there aint alot of 78-79 around here. Makes the people that do have one feel good because not everybody has one.

People around here are chebby Z71 and Jeep crazy. To bad they don't know what a real truck is.

not many 78 79 broncos around here either being driven or in junkyards...but one downfall to not many 78 79s being around if you need a part fast that you cant get from parts store you are going to have to fight to find one

Yeah that is true. I got lucky the other day my friend that has a junkyard had a top off of a 78-79 Bronco. It was all cracked up but the glass was good. I got both windows for 45 bucks.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from NPD for my Pickup and for the Bronco. LMC just seems way to high on everything.

Well you should have no problem getting rid of it I wouldnt think. If I needed one I would buy it from you. How do the floorboards on your Bronco look? Mine are still solid, which suprised me. Yeah I gotta get rid of the mat and insulation in mine. Then I guess I will coat it in roll-on bed liner.

Yeah I figure no carpet or insulation, then nowhere for moisture to hid and make rust. I will still keep regular truck floor mats for the footwell area, make it look a little nicer. If you make the custom sheetmetal top deal be sure to post pics, I bet it will look great.

my bed is solid all the way around except for one little bitty line of rust that has gone through. i took all the carpet out by hand. took the backseat out. all the side panels , the rear view mirror, the side mirrors, the console, i mean everything......theres is nothing but striaght metal behind the seats. i will paint the rear black like im painting the whole truck. no clear coat just flat black. i ahve 33s to put on and i was thinking a leveling kit would be fine. and cut wells. the motor isnt the original. its an erson 400 with a 4 barrell holley carb. and an edlebrock intake too.

im going to make an alright truck. for 200 bucks

the main big problem i will run into with making one is my rol bar..but i could always pop holes in it and sectioni t to make it all work...if i do i will definitely post pics up as i go along...and if it comes out nice and others are interested i will see if i can take exact measurements to help make things easier and send them your way

Well for 200 you cant go wrong anyways, lol. What all you donna do to your Bronco? I'm tight on money right now so I'm just tinkering here and there and buying a few needed things when money permits. By the end of the year or mabye next year I'm hoping to get it painted solid black and keep all the chrome on it. I'll have plently of time to work on it because as high as gas is it wont be driven much, lol.

Gotta design in mind already for your custom top?

mine already has a roll bar built into it. its so cool. it fits so that the top will still come one. i will take pictures tommorow. its too late at night here.

i plan on adding a small lift and cutting out the fender wells(which have no rust). and adding some 33s. then painting it flat black with the aluminum side rails and such. the motor is fine. just tune it up. maybe welding the gears front and back. maybe
