My last two doner trucks were all talk because no one has been able to produce the truck. Now im looking at a 1997 f350 powerstroke 4x4 $3000. Its in excellant shape but its a flat bed dually. It does however have the high pin front dana 60 but its got the ball joint style. Anyways im still going to need a rear end. The only other option is a local shop has a HP dana 60 from a 97 ford for $600 but it does not have axles, gears, ect. It doesnt even have a diff cover. If I were to change it over to king pin style buy the axles gears seals cover ect im going to have 3000 in the axle. Please help.

I'd keep looking. Find one that's older, you just want the running gear so why pay for styling updates ? Sure it might be nice to have axles setup for ABS but you'd still have to fab a lot of it. Find something from the 70's or 80's, it'll be a whole lot cheaper. Either that or scour the boneyards, there are always old 4x4's in there and that's where I'd start looking but go & look for yourself, don't just call and ask them. It's usually cheaper if you find the truck yourself rather than buying axles they've alrready pulled and placed on the rack.
