so ... anyone with an early 80s bronco, or just a **** of a lot of knowledge about them live in the katy, texas area and feel like turnin a wrench and helpin me out? i offer beer

ive searched the forums and just cant find a solution to my problem ... problem = rats nest of wiring for the whole ignition system. i traced out and followed the wiring diagrams in the back of the repair manuals and still nothin. i tried to jump start it with a coat hanger (that was interesting by the way) and it started to turn over but the engine didnt catch (probably b/c it hasnt run in about a month)

so back to my original plea ... anyone live out here and just feel like bein cool and passing on some knowledge, or heck, if i can even just another bronc to look at as a reference

sthanks much

Damn that one got my attention. You KNEW I'd be the first to respond didn't you ? Unfortunately we've pretty much reached the point where fuel is more expansive than beer (and isn't THAT freaking criminal ?) so it's just not beer-efficient to travel from Fla to Tx.

You mentioned repair manuals. What are you using ? Please don't say it's a Chilton's, Haynes or something like that. You SHOULD be using the factory manuals published by Helm. Specifically, in addition to the regular Volume A & B engine/body/chassis/electrical manuals you should have the EVTM (Electrical, Vacuum Troubleshooting Manual) to work from. There is just NO SUBSTITUTE for the factory manuals from Helm. I wish I could help more, but until the beer-to-fuel ratio becomes more favorable this is about the best I can offer.

Well, see. There ya go. I KNEW someone with a better beer-to-fuel ratio would chime in. Some guys have all the damn luck.

HEY, anyone live in South Florida, have a Bronco and possess more beer than they know what to do with ?

Well, I figured it was worth asking. Don't be shy, gimme a shout, I'm usually home :) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
