I started a engine switch on my '73 Bronco with my dad. We were under the gun because he had Mesothelioma and it won. The bottom line is that I don't have the experience to do it. I live in Long Beach, CA and I am looking for someone that could do the job. If you are interested or know someone in my area please contact me and I can explain the whole thing and we can talk about the cost. You can call me at 562.618.9123. Thank you.

I am way out of your area but what stage is the swap in? Where are you sitting in regards to completion?

The old engine is out and the new one is about 90% complete. It's a rebuilt 5.0 HiPo engine from a early 90s Mustang and is sitting on an engine stand. It really just needs to be installed and everything hooked up in the proper place. I have most if not all of the other parts needed to complete the job. I can turn a wrench and follow directions but my dad was the brains of the project.

Theres a ton of smart guys on here. If you can follow directions I think you should give it a go. Everyone here is exceptionally helpful.

What was in it..? I-6 or V/8 ?

Doesn't have to be a Bronco person. L.B. has a lot of mechanics. If you poke around/ask around you should be able to find a "Ford" guy who's good, (& broke) .. & willing to work weekends for cash$$.

A shop would charge a "pretty penny"
