Ok let me start by putting this schematic up.

Ok Right next to the thing labeled fuel tanks on the schematic is a circle that sais A/CL DV. That the Air cleaner diverter. I need to get that thing workin. The schematic shows it going to the A/CL CWM (Have no idea what CWM is, but im pretty sure its that thing with two vaccum nozzles on my air cleaner thats busted). From there the line goes to the V REST (AC Only, which i do have AC) I have no idea what a vaccum rest is or what it looks like. Its not one of those black plastic bubble things is it? Because I don't have one. Then we go to the A/CL BI MET which eludes me completely I have no idea. From there it goes to MAN VAC, which im guessing is a constant vaccum source.
Ok bear with me vaccum lines are a whole new science for me, ive never had a vehicle old enough to have more than just one or two. Alright how critical is that A/CL CWM? Should Get a new one or just skip it? and try to find these other components. This is also my first carburator.
My electric choke doesn't seem to be hooked to anything either. Thats pretty sweet isn't it. I need a carburators for dummies book. I just looked up it needs to be hooked to a keyed 12 volt line.
The carb sias motorcraft on it. I have an Edelbrock performer 289 intake manifold that was just sitting in the bronco when i bought it does anyone use one of these? The eldelbrock website sais it will fit my 302, and it looks brand spankin new. Can I get past some of this vaccum nonsense with a new edelbrock carb and this manifold?
Theres probably more but thats all ive figured out today. That and My motor seems to leak from everywhere, Gotta clean that up and look again after a drive. But it looks like mostly front seal and oil pan. So thats not too bad.
