All my gages ( Fuel, Oil, Temp )were reading lower than normal. I purchased a new insterment regulator from Napa and installed it but the symptoms didnt improve. I tried a lot of other expensive and ineffective things which I wont go into and finally ended up installing a 10ohm 10watt resistor inline with the insterment regulator.

( that is between the regulator and ground ) and now all my gages read normal again. A full tank reads a full tank, Oil is around 35psi @ idle and full temp reads 195. >

How do you know that they are reading accurately now? You could be just giving yourself a false sense of security. The system, as designed, should be accurate if all the connections and sender units and gauges are good. Did you use any other accurate gauges to compare with. Did you do the resistance checks that the factory manual outlines? For example did you check the fuel gage using resistors to see that it gave the proper indications?

Good luck,

:)>-
