High output motors?

I have an 83 bronco with a 351 windsor but i have heard there are two diffrent motors theres a standard i guess with 155 hp and then there a high output with 220 hp.. how can i tell what i got?

Well, if it's an original factory installing, the 8th digit of the VIN should be a G or an H. I think that's it. I'm sure that if I'm wrong, someone here will whap me upside the head and give you the right info /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Yes... and I read that H stands for HIgh OUtput.

ALso ...Windsor, High Output, all **'s have 4 BBL carb,

Yes, the 8th character in the VIN is the engine code, and is an "H" for the 351W H.O. (Letter "G" for the 351W). The H.O. was only offered in 84-86 Broncos, with a Holley 4180 4bbl carb and 4bbl intake.

If it is the stock engine in a 83 Bronco it is NOT the ** engine. It wasn't offered then.

Also they were NEVER offered in california emissions equipped trucks because they didn't meet california smog requirements.
