Greetings,

I have an 84 Bronco with a re-furbed 305 eng ( i think ).

Since the weather has gotten colder my usually strong running Bronco

has a hard time bringing it's idle down while warming up in the morning.

In the warm weather this isn't an issue and idles normally,

but in the cold the idle is very strong and doesn't come down even after 20 min.

Is there a sensor, switch or something I need to replace? I don't want to have to

manually turn the idle down on the carb everytime this happens.

Any ideas would be a big help.

Thanks a ton.

Sounds like a simple choke adjustment is needed.

Or if electric, being sure it is getting power properly and working properly.

If the engine is basically stock, it may have a heat riser on an exhaust manifold that has a big hose leading to the air cleaner that helps the engine warm up faster and thus the choke will open faster (bimetallic type at least)
