Hey!
My late, great father, (died July '05), had a '69 Bronco, which I finally got somewhat driveable. We had a '72 or so Bronco, brand new, until about '77. I learned to drive in that Bronco. I've always loved the looks of the Original Bronco. The '69's pretty much identical to the '72 we had, just a bit more sparse. (No radio & vac wipers, but I just got some elec wipers.) My '69 has the 170 CID straight 6, the '72 had a 302. Feels weak, but maybe I'm just not used to it. Needs restoring, new windows, paint, seats. Rear fenders have never been cut out. That's one reason my dad bought it, it was still fairly stock. One dilemma I have is the top. It has the full top, but I like the half cab look. I also want to remove the top & doors for Summer running. The full top has some light rusting & needs new seals & some glass. A repro half cab looks neat & will be easier to remove. I still think it should do over 50 MPH with the gas pedal to the floor tho. I'm pretty mechanically inclined, my trade is an airplane mechanic, but cars are somewhat different, but at least this is a very simple engine, no smog junk on it. I'm sure I'll be hanging around & asking questions & looking for parts!
