Hey guys, names Joe and I'm am saving up for a 1992 Bronco XLT 4x4. Its my dads friends truck, its really clean but I need to figure out how to post pics on here, Ive almost got all the money together (2800$) More specs...its a 1992 Ford Bronco XLT 4x4 305 V8 (out of a 89 90 mutang?) Automatic, 4x4. Hes selling it because of divorce and money probs so there is nothing wrong with it... I have been into trucks and 4wheeling for a good while but I am always learning. And being this is my first 4x4 truck. (I'm only 16) I dont really know what to expect with it, I have heard great things about broncos and I really like them. Also...can you guys help me out with a lift...I was looking at the SJ 6" I want to clear 35s but I dont want it to look like i could fit 38s, I want them snug without rubbing (I'm sure yall no what I mean) Sorry for the long read, thanks everyone and nice to meet. Nice website! :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Welcome to broncozone! Hey, in the first pic, I can see some oil under it, check for oil leaks (Broncos are famous for leaks) I think you mean the enigne is a 302, not 305. The truck is really clean!

No no, it is a 305, we put a mustang engine in it...unless the 89-90 mustang was a 302, i no its a mustang motor because I was there to pull it out the mustang lol, thanks for the replys. On the oil leak is it just a simple gasket or something worse? The truck is a good ways from me so i cant really go to it, but I do plan on buying it shortly.

A 305 is a Chevy motor used in 1/2 ton pickup trucks and Camaros in the late 80's. If you pulled the engine out of a mustang, it's a 302. Trust us. It could be the stock engine too. Broncos come with 302's and 351's. Judging from the location of the oil puddles under your vehicle, it looks like you have the exact same problem I had. Your oil pan gasket is shot. The oil is leaking out the back side of the pan, down onto the crossmember and it is dripping to the ground from ten different spots. On any two wheel drive, it's an easy fix. But on a Bronco, it's not so easy. I just replaced mine about three weeks ago. It involves removing the intake manifold, pulling the motor mounts and lifting the engine up about six to eight inches. Only then will you have enough clearance to fanagle the pan out from above the crossmember. It seems as though this is a chronic problem with many Broncos. Once you get the bronco and you're ready to fix it, PM me and I'll give you specific instructions.

Welcome to the Zone I just turned 17 myself and I got my 79 Bronco when I was 16, it was my bosses truck so I paid him the money that he paid me for working for him that summer. For the lift with 35" tires I am not totally sure about that year bronco but I know with my 79 a 6" lift fits 35"s but makes it look like it can fit 37"s easy I would check with some guys that have that 90's body style to see how a 4" lift looks with 35" tires

**** of a nice truck though and good luck with it
