My '69 Bronco has been hesitating recently. It feels like it is not getting enough gas. Often on the freeway when it is receiving constant fuel, it will suddenly accelerate as if it had just shifted, but it is not an automatic. I have replaced the spark plugs and fuel filter and put that cleaner stuff in the gas tank. Other thoughts??? Help! I want my powerful little beast back!

Hi Goldie...,

"...it will suddenly accelerate as if it had just shifted"

RU sure you don't have a slipping clutch..?

Are there any oil leaks on the bottom/rear on eng. & around bellhousing..?

Does it idle good & take good throttle & run smooth while in neutral..?

"...and put that cleaner stuff in the gas tank."

This is not really a good idea on older rigs. i.e. it tends to loosen up things you'd prefer to stay put.

Those things can migrate thru the fuel system.

Sounds like you might have a power valve problem.
