This winter I'm working on putting herculiner in the bed of the beast and I want to do the bed floor as well as the walls. My bronco has really cheap trim on the walls of the bed and it's all beat up so I don't mind getting rid of it anyways. My question is, what can be done about the speakers in the rear. If I do this, there won't be anything covering them anymore. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for covering these speakers or do I just have to get rid of them and get some speaker boxes or something. Any experience would be greatly appreciated.

They make weatherproof speaker enclosures for the Jeep crowd and the boat guys. I'd use something like this:

or this:

I've run the boat speakers in the past and haven't had any trouble out of them. I can't find a link for them but on my F350 I had 4 speakers that looked exactly like KC daylighters, used the same housing & everything. They worked great and you could just hose the mud right off them if KC still sells them you might want to check those out as well.
