I need to find a good mechanic in Dallas, preferably near Lewisville/Flower Mound. I like working on the beast, but I'm on the road so often that when I get home I just want to DRIVE her. Currently I have an issue where the battery runs down anytime I leave the truck. Originally it was running well, then came back into town and nothing worked. Checked the battery - dead. I trickled the battery back up, plugged it in - dead. I put in a new battery, it worked fine for about 3 days, got back from a trip last night...dead. I'm sure it's something simle that I could fix with time, but I'd like to find someone here I can trust for the things that I just don't have time to mess with.

If anyone has had good luck with someone from around here I would greatley appreciate your recomendations.

Thanks,

get an amp meter and install it between the neg. side of the battery and the cable. then just pull each fuse one at a time and check the amp meter for any change. there should only be a max draw of .050 amps. first thing i would check is to see if any interrior lights are staying on ie. glove box... sounds like there is a 1-3 amp draw in your truck.
