Need to remove top on my 77 so I can replace quarter panel seals and the top to winshield seal. Looks like there is about 4-5 bolts on each side and does the wiper motor cover need to come off to access the top bolts or can you get to it under the forward headliner? Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Pretty easy/straight forward...

I'd remove the cover just so as not to bump it. Believe there's a couple stake bolts in the back corners.

Weight is the main issue....best with about 3 guys. I usually went up a few inches at a time (using shoulder fr. inside, pushing up)., & slipped blocks under, along/on top of the bed rails. Once resting on the blocks, folks can get fingers under at those points.

Same for re-installing...set on blocks while aligning so as not to scuff up the new seals.

Yea, I figured it would be pretty heavy I'll definitely have some extra help. The top has never been off so I was curious to how many bolts held it on. Can you gain access to all the forward bolts once the wiper motor cover is off? Thanks for the info
