Welcome to Bronco Zone!!! You can adjust the hood height and gaps either at the hinge bolts on the hood or the firewall, depending on which way you need to move it. The fender bolts are adjustable as well. Was the Bronco this way when you got it, or did some impact move the fender alignment? You may have to start re-aligning everything up front, starting with the doors to cab gaps first, then the fenders then the hood last. JSM84

Here is a link to door alignment guide from Steve83's Supermotors.net gallery:

Well i got the body from some guy so possibly but it looked fine when i got it but Lord knows?? I tinkered with the hood hinges for a while but nothin still sits high in the rear? im prolly gonna do what ya said bout the doors. cause i wanna paint job and that rubbin is chippin the paint. And i also dont know if this year comes with a hood adjusting bumper? I may have had them on the old bronco but when i was rebuildin from the wreck i may have accidentally tossed them? if so do you know?

And i thank you for the answers it helped!! HIGHLY appreciated!!!

If the hood sits high next to the cowl or windshiled, try lowering the hood supportrs bolted to the firewall. Iassume the "bumpers" you refer to are the srew-in rubber dealies on top of the radiator core support? Check with Bronco Graveyard for those.

The hood and fenders on my 78 Bronco are in great alignment, and I've pinned the door hinges so I can easily remove the doors for rock crawling. It took some time to get them to line up with the cab the first time I took the hinges off. You have adjustment both in the door side and the side bolted to the fender, so it's a test and fit process. Just snug down one bolt on each hinge until you're happy with the fit, then go back and tighten the other 2 bolts in each hinge.

Also, my 79 F-150 was re-painted by the previous owner (PO), and the hood fitment is horrible. IF you get everything lined up nice and neat, then go taking things back apart to paint the truck, do yourself a favor. Take a small (1/8") drill bit, and drill a hole thru the hood and door hinges, and somewhere on the fender supports. When you go back to assemble everything, you can put the drill bit baqck into that same hole and line up the panels first shot. JSM84

I noticed on my one truck (new) I did a mod..well I forgot a plastic ring clamp thing that I took off the truck, and placed it on a shelf which butts up against the hood when closed.. needless to say, my passanger side of the hood didn't full close and stuck up in the air about an inch. Took me 10 minutes to find it (looking at the shock support, hinges, latchs..) and it was just a lil peice of trash in the way. Maybe you left a tool or something in the way..
