I am installing new front bearings. The old ones came off easy and the new ones will not slip on easy. Tighter fit and will not go all the way on. Is this normal?

Assuming you mean (wheel) bearings....
Be a bit more specific.... Are you refering to the outer races in the hub..? :huh:
Not sure/aware of any bearings that "slip on" ...??

On the back side of the "hub" ...it goes like this..., inner (outside)race..,(pressed in).., inner bearing.., then the hub seal (pressed in).
Then the whole hub unit, slides onto the "spindle" ...then the outer bearing set-up, etc.
