When I pull the hood latch inside the vehicle the hood does not open,

When I check the actual latch in front of the hood, I cannot get the hood latch to budge,

How can I pry the latch or pop it open from the under the front of the hood?

[You should be able to work your hand through the grill or remove the grill and follow the cable to the latch using a sturdy hook or maybe even your fingers reach behind the latch you will feel where the cable attaches to a lever you will need to pull it towards the drivers side of the truck. Lightly bumping down on the hood just above the latch while pulling will help relieve some of the strain on the latch. It should pop up/open. Once it is open check the rubber bumpers at the front corners and see if they are adjusted tooo high they will ***** down and spray **** into the latch mechanism.
