as long as its just the muffler yeah itll work on any thing you might just need to get some adapters like from 2and1/2 to 2and1/4 or so on

Just a slight modification to the above statement. The muffler will work fine on a Bronco as long as the in ****** is in the center. If it is offset, it becomes problematic to get it where it won't interfere with the drive shaft and still not be hanging too far down. That might be a little confusing, but if you climb under there and try fitting it, you will see what I'm talking about. Unfortunately I went through the same thing. I even had a muffler shop try putting it on, MORONS installed it backward in order to get it to fit which has the opposite effect of it's design. The only real solution was to get another one with the IN and OUT ****** in the center.

it will work i just put on 2 flow masters no center outlets or inlets. 2 cats and a set of long tube headers. what a sound.

Pretty much the same as forward, but according the factory Flowmaster rep I talked to, it puts a lot of back pressure on the engine. He said if it was left that way, it will damage the engine. I'm not a engine design engineer, so I took him at his word and removed it, but what he had to say made sense. Basically the internal design of a 40 series has about 3 V shaped baffles with with the point facing the engine and due to it's design it is very efficient at scavenging the exhaust. However, when the open part of the V is pointing at the engine it puts excessive back pressure on the engine. The only style that fits nicely in place of the stock muffler is a center IN and center OUT design. The offset IN design, when positioned to not interfere with the drive shaft will cause it to hang down where it will be in danger of being ripped off because it hangs too far below the frame. If you can find a way to get it on and at the same time be out of the way of ground objects, do it. A lift kit would certainly allow that, but mine only has a factory 3" lift on it.
Any series Flowmaster can be ordered with the input and output pipes where you want them.
