First i think that you remove body mount bolts. then you drop your pan in and mark a line all around. do not cut on this line, this is for reference only. mark a line about 3/4" below the mark you just made. if you dont, when you remove the old metal the pan sits lower than the cut and you might have a big gap to fill. when you cut watch out for any lines that might be under the pan. I used a sawzall to cut most of mine and used a small grinder to finish the rest and a pair of snips. check your supports to make sure that they are not rusted through. I think then you can lay the new metal down, make sure it fits and start putting down spot welds and then run small lap joints around the pan, trying not to get the metal too hot. I may have left something out or may have missed something but this should give you an idea. good luck!

I drilled out holes around the outside edges of the new pans and across where they contact the cross supports. Then welded through the holes to attach them. I found it better to skip around and not weld in order or the metal would get too hot and pop loose sometimes. Also used seam sealer around the edges. Used grinder with cutting wheel to cut out the old pans.
