If you notice my screen name is 2nd tour 89, I bought this Bronco about 10 years ago, then gave it to my Dad about 7 years ago so he could have something nice to drive (and I had too many cars at the time anyway) then it started doing what yours is doing about 4 1/2 years ago and my Dad parked it. Then my mom told him (wife scenario) get that thing gone and my Dad called me and asked if I wanted it back, just get it out of his driveway. So this is my second tour with this ride... Anyway, thanks for listening to my story and get back to fixing your ride...

Best of luck, let me know how it all ends up...

Any word? I have been thinking about this all weekend....

Haven't got to it yet. I went Saturday to get the TPS and throttle body gasket, but they were out of the Tps, which is supposed to be in today. Hopefully this afternoon I'll get up there to get the part and put it on. If not, the weather sounds like it will keep me from doing anything until probably Friday.

Alright, installed the TPS and it didn't start. Also tried the reccomendation to pull the fuel filter and get some HEET and put it in there, release the pressure valve up on the rail and re-install the filter. That didn't work. Back to ground zero.

A recap of whats been done:

Truck suddenly died on highway and would not restart, had 3/4 tank of gas. Prior to that it died a half hour earlier at stop sign but restarted.

Replaced ignition switch, solenoid, battery, fuel filter, rear fuel pump, drained gas at pump replacement and put in 8 gallons of fresh gas, gave it a HEET treatment straight to the filter, checked all ignition wires, replaced plugs and wires.

So I guess I am ready to put in a shop and see if they can track it down. This engine has 45K miles on it over a 5 year period. It was always hard to start in the winter and in damp conditions.

I want my truck back.
