I have a 95 5.8 351w Ford Bronco. I'm about to hit 170,000 illigetimate miles, tire size has effected accurate mileage. The issue i am having is i can hear the engine working harder then it usually did, the power it had is faiding away. I run 35 12.5 r15, with a 4 inch lift. the power was there before i ran the tires, and was there last time i ran these size tires. i want to switch my engine, but am ******* money these days, anyone know of any good deal engine places, in or near southern cali. what are my best options guys? Thanks for the help

Did you ever think that maybe your cat is getting plugged? Loss of power is the main symptom of a cat that is going bad.

Good luck,

Well for an engine you might try Cherry Auto, http://www.cherry-auto.com/

They have decent used engines at a great price, free shipping and warranties up to three years.

I'm not too sure about their used engine prices! I can get a rebuilt short block for what they want for a used 100,000 mile engine. For another 400 I can get a long block. If you realy need to change the engine do a Google search on Ford rebuilt engines http://www.powerpro2000.com/lb_ford.htm http://www.tcsenginesales.com/catalog/prod...oducts_id=21167 http://www.roadmasterfordengines.com/prici...ation.addToken#

Good luck,

Thanks for the advice, Seabronc, i dont have cats on my truck, i have an X pipe with 2 flowmaster 40's, so that cancels that out, unless one of the little monster in my apart complex stuffed something in my exhaust..... lol..

Will definitly look around online for a new or rebuilt engine, thanks again
