The other day when i started my truck, the voltage meter started jumping all over the place and kept goin up to 18 volts and my battery light kept on coming on and going off. I turned the truck off and then turned it back on to show my dad the truck acted like there was nothing wrong with it. He said my alternator might be going and dont worry about it unless it does it again. Today when i went to start it, she wouldn't turn over but the starter was clicking like it does when you don't have enough juice in the battery. Then once again she started up a ran like nothing is wrong with it. Also when i have the air on for my mom the truck sometimes stalls out on me when im idling or put it in park. DOes anyone have any info on this for me?

Start by checking all the battery and alternator connections. Remove them, clean and reassemble them, ( use a little sand paper to clean the lugs up), especially the ground connection from your battery (-) to the engine and frame. There should also be a ground from the back of the intake manifold to the fire wall, make sure it is good.

Good luck,

:)>-

I cleaned all the connections and then when i went to start it. My battery is completely dead now and won't hold a charge so hopefully its just the batttery and nothing else.
