Found a used 1991 5.0 from a mustang for 800 bucks complete with all EFI components, it's got 136k on it supposedly, is this a reasonable price? How hard is it to hook up all the computer stuff & wiring once the motor is installed? Any help appreciated, THX

if it has absolutely everything on it and is in ready running condition, it isn't a bad price, but it isn't a great price either. 'Bout middle of the road. The nice thing is that it is the mass air setup and not the speed density. If it comes with the heads & dizzy, it makes that price more palatable. I would see if the guy would take $600 and go from there. A good used (read: junkyard) find can be had at most pick-n-pulls for around $200-300 without heads, but if you know what it is coming off of, it might be worth that little extra. I say get the heads too because they will bolt up & you can run newer plugs.

Also comes with a t5 tranny w/ centerforce clutch but the upper mounting tab is broken, & a set of shorty headers. Will mustang headers work on an EB? I don't think so but it costs nothing to ask a question. THX

I swapped heads and efi a year ago and it was a breeze. Make sure you buy a RJM harness. It is $400 well spent. It made the swap a plug and play affair. BC broncos sells them and has a great bunch of info for you. Good luck.
