I made mine. I did it out of 1 3/4 chromoly for the rear above the seats and 2 inch brow bar and main hoop. I would look into what that stainless pipe is before you put it in your truck. I followed SCORE specs and my tubing is .120 walled.
As far as spec, it depends on where you look. Race specs and XRRA spec are close to the same and you can probably get a packet from there web sites. Any race shop can tell you what to do as far as safety, or do it for you if they are willing to risk it. anyone know where i can get some blue prints for a cool roll cage? it least a bar? i have a welder, torch and i can buy materials if needed
Look at some of the vendor sites....BC, Wild Horses, James Duff, Bronco Graveyard, Complete Offroad, Tom's, Crab Cages.... They all have their own style, but it depends on what you want to build and how much you want to spend.
