Hey Bronco Nation, I've got some oxidized cast engine parts in my 1996 EB. Any suggestions out there to clean it up besides a power washing ? Last time it was power washed, it was showing codes for a week or more. Appreciate the replies.

NO power washing here, AD.
Been there, done that eons ago.
Pretty much all I do for engine cleanups is use Purple-power (super-clean) Apply & let sit for a few, then low-pressure water from the garden hose via squeeze nozzle. 🚿
If its bad enough and can be got at, hand-to-hand combat time 🪮
The thicker coats of grease buildup can take several attempts to get taken down. Just have to let everything dry back out over time before another go.
Good luck.

Jimbo26,
Appreciate the reply. That's pretty much about where I'm at. I've got a half / jug of Purple Power on hand, in addition to a sheet-load of toothbrushes. That'll be pretty much as far as I can go. You're absolutely right about the "hand-to hand" combat ! Thanks again.
