Hey guys, I've pretty much decided to trash the 525 Road Demon Jr. and upgrade to something more along the lines of a 650 CFM (351 with cam and intake....victory sr. heads on the way). Actaully, after the heads, the 650 may still be a little small, but no big deal. I'm not drag racing the thing afterall.

Here's the deal though, I'm ****** beyond belief that the Demon that I am currently running likely was defective out of the box and needed much tweeking (which I've proven I shouldn't do <_< ). Still though, I have all the linkage right on this one including the automatic kickdown linkage, which works perfectly with my C4. Based on this, I'm inclined to hold my nose and buy another Demon, just so it bolts up in 10 minutes and is ready to go. I'm thinking Speed Demon 650 CFM w/electric choke and ford linkage. Two in a row couldn't possibly be bad....right?

Maybe I'm over-concerned about this linkage thing...or am I right? Ideally I'd like to use a 650 Edelbrock; but, I don't want to pull more hair out trying to get the linkage, including kickdown right.

I'm a glutton for punishment! b-(

Id go with the edelbrock and 650 is plenty youll actually loose power if you over carborate . Edelbrock makes a kit that bolts right on the carb abd the stock ford kickdown linkage hooks right up and is adjustable . I couldnt use the one I bought on my bronco 2 because there wasnt enough clearance between the back of the motor and the firewall so I have it laying around the garage if you decide to go with the edelbrock Ill make ya a deal on the linkage . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
