what kind of radio is it? and make sure you didn't blow the fuse for the radio. Get a test light and check to make sure you have constant power, which should be a yellow wire and check the red wire to see if you have power when the ignition key is turned on, if the key is off no power will be supplied to the red wire.

I had the same problem, I could not find the right solution so I ran the 12v line from the battery and found a switched power cable from under the dashboard.

thats a decent head unit its what i have in my dakota

isnt there a fuse in the back of the head unit? check that then check all the other fuses in the truck

i was doing one in my brother inlaws f350 and i couldnt get it to work it ended up being the cigarette lighter fuse that was keeping it from working

another problem ive run into is the plastic plugin thing ford put in for the original blocked power from getting to the new harness i put in i ended up finding the two power wires using an volt meter then i cut them off and used wire nuts to put them together

yeah at first i had purchased the ford harness, but i soon found out that only one connector mathced up, so i took a pic of the connectors on my phone, and showed the guy at best buy and he automatically knew i had to get a special one that he happened to have... and so i know i have the right harness, its for the amplifier integrated version or whatever

yea i beleve the ground must be connected to get power
ok cuz we had it workin with the ground connected to one of the orange cords coming from the harness.... this really confused me... so then i thought i had it working so i disconnected everything because i still needed to connect the speaker wires. and then as i was taking everything out 2 of the wires touched and there wwas a big spark. and now i cant even get power to anything...

did the head unit ever have power?

do you have a car you can try the head unit it other than the bronco like has a friend replaced their head unit? if yes then i would ask them to take theirs out and put yours in just to make sure it works the plug in the back of the head units should be the same so its just a matter of taking it out and unplugging on and plugging in the other one

yeah i could try that but the thing is

i took off the harnesses and tried to get the old stock unit to work and that doesnt even get power

so its gotta be something internally
