C4 Problems.

Hello guys/girls.

I was changing the fluids and filter in my C4 and when i took the filter down a little spring about 3 centimeters and a little iron cap came down with the filter. Does anybody know where it may have come from???

came out of the throttle plate ( the thing the filter bolts up to). There should be a small hole in it that the spring goes in first then the plug. If you have a shop manual it will show where it goes
