I have a 85 Bronco II with a 302, the stock motor was a 2.8 liter V6. I am going to put a suspension lift of 2" on it, but the front driveshaft is close to the radius arm cross member ( about 1" from the cross member, give or take 1/4"). And here in lies the question, am I going to have to modify the radius arm cross member to install a 2" suspension lift? What I would like to do is; cut the cross member part out and leave the radius arm bracket in tact, because in the spring I am going to rebuild and install a AOD Trans and get rid of the 5 speed and for that it would be helpful if it was not there.
