Just finished painting the new hood for my truck. When I close it the back of the hood near the windsheild doesnt seem to want to go down as far as it should. Is there a way to adjust tension in the hinges? Any ideas?

No adjustment there, the spring tension is pretty much fixed. You'll have to adjust the hinge height to change where the hood sits. How'd you remove the hood ? Did you take the hinges off or leave them on ? Who you bought the hood from makes a difference as well. The cheaper parts don't always fit as well as they could because they just aren't stamped out as accurately. Some of the better aftermarket parts are stamped using original molds but others are reproduction parts and they just aren't as good.

I took the hood off leaving the hinges on the truck. I can put pressure on the drivers side and it seems to shut down smoothly, the passenger side is close but when i let it go just moves back up. How is the hinge height adjusted?
