I'm getting ready to put a body lift on my 76 bronco and I have 33" tires to put on it. Will a 2" lift be enough for clearance or will I need to go higher?

Thanks,

Kevin

I'm thinking it will be a bit close....assuming (you didn't say) you don't have a suspension lift.

If the rubber, etc. on the old suspension is orig. ..then that is normally the place to start...&, it (orig. suspension) may be sagging a bit.

Is it cut front &/or rear...? (you didn't say)

Body lifts sometimes alter steering shaft alignment & that issue has to be dealt with.

I don't have a suspension lift. Original everything. The rear fenders are cut out and have a flair. I might be better off going with a 3" lift. I just don't want

it to look to high

"I don't have a suspension lift. Original everything."

Kevin..,

Check the "rubber" on the radius arm ends. (right under your feet) If they're black they're prob. the orig. rubber.

If they, & the "C" bushings on the other end are old & cracked...then while replacing...might as well do the lift thing.

I might be better off going with a 3" lift. I just don't want it to look to hi

It's not all that cheap (lift) ......a good "Bronco" lift is $800-1000 with the good 11pk rear springs. But.., it will ride just like stock. The steering geometery usually needs alteration as well.

Not really hard to do ...about a 3 banana job.. Safety is paramount.

Not enough lift makes big tires look like a "rollerskate"

Not sure 'bout those "senior" steps on the rockers either..?

Try as I may...I can not get a pic to load on this board...gave up yrs. ago.

If you get a Bronco store type catalog...they have many pics of diff. lifts & tire sizes.

Prob. on their websites as well.
