I have a 73 Bronco and it has the 3.5" Long Travel suspension on it. Also has a 3" body with fender flares. I have 35" boggers on it now but I want a more street friendly tire. The front sits about 2" lower than the rear. I was thinking of getting some 5.5" Coils from wild horses. My question is will I need to replace anything else, or will the coils go right in? Also, what size tire can I fit?

Thanks, Jon

If you want to save cash you can weld a 1" solid spacer under the lower coil cup to help raise the truck. Most steel mfg. will have scraps you can get for free. I wouldn't go any higher than 1" with the bolck. All you need is longer grage 8 bolts to reach the radius arm. If you have long travel shocks you should be OK lifting 1". Anything more might require longer shocks and a modified driveline. The angle of the driveline will require the t-case to be droped an inch with 5.5" coils. Did you already get the extended brake line from the axle to frame? I fit 38.5" tires with 3.5" coils, 1" spacer, 2" body lift and chopped fenders.

For street you might want to got with a 37" BFG M/T or A/T, or Goodyear MTR's. I like swampers myself. They make a Radial thats actually quiet on the road. I heard the SSR's do well but I've never had them.
