So, the time has come for me to do a brake job on the 'ole Bronco. When I had the brakes done before, my mechanic would put on whatever shoes were recommened. Despite the fact that I was saving money for the moment, I was burning through pads like every 6-8 months. (At least I was when the truck was my daily driver). Anyway, now that I've got a little cash, I want to have the brakes done, but could someone recommend a set of pads that can handle the Bronco? Is there a set that will handle heavy duty trucks that everyone uses? Maybe something for an F-350 or would those be too extreme? If anyone has any recommendations they'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The only thing I remember from when I did my brakes was "ceramic." Less dust, less noise, and as good if not better stopping power as the other types. If you're looking for heavier duty brakes, that might require calipers and the whole nine yards.

Hmm...I think I really need to look into this a little more.

It'd probably be a good idea to make everything into disc brakes, and 4-caliper pistons with ceramic pads. I've been having a lot of heat coming of the front tires during long trips...

Alright guys. Thanks for the info. I'll have to do a little research and shopping...
