Bad Radiator

Hey guys,

Well, I found something else I need to do to the 73' project (which now I call Buster after my last Bronco). Does anybody have a good used 3 core radiator with auto trans hook up? I went out and developed a leak. I fixed the leak with jb weld, then went back out for a test run to make sure I did not have any other leaks, and guess what........I found some more. My radiator is shot. So now I am looking for a good used one. I really don't have the extra bucks for a new one.

Give it a "vasectomy" ...! /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

(Common fix to keep an older rad. going) If you CAN SPOT the actual leak, you can "snip" the core/tube at the leak, & bend it back & pinch it shut. (top & bottom of "snip")

Looks ugly :-B but will get many more miles out of tired rad.

I had a couple leaks in mine, pulled her out and took it to the local radiator shop, they fixed and flushed it for $25

I tried the old snip and roll trick only to find that most of the core material is paper thin. I did a light pressure check and blew more loose. I hate to admit it, but this old boy is shot. Another one bites the dust. I found a unit in bc bronco for about 200 but that is more than I wanted to spend. I will keep looking.
