To all friendss fellows, and brothers here at the bronco zone, I have some terrible news. My beloved horse, which has served me for the last 4-5 years, and whom I loved so much, was struck critically November 11, 2006. A cruel twist of fate has ended the young 20 year old horse's run on the streets. A small white japanese car struck the horse's driver-fender side, partial to the front end, destroying the axle, suspension, steering components, and twisting the frame. The front end corner has wrapped around the frame corner, and the driver door doesn not open/close fully. the cross member under the bell housing forced the floor up and jammed the pedals down floored. Whether or not the transmission is pinned is unknown at this time, but will be determined this weekend. The engine is fully intact, and the only damage to it is one of the header primary tubes was pinched by the frame.

The horse cannot move. :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> It was disfigured so much that it's closest friend and driving buddy, a friend's '98 bravada, nearly stalled in the middle of the street upon seeing the bronco's shape when they drove by. (Yes, the vehicle was so shocked and sad that it nearly died while driving in the road.) :((

As for me, I'm alright. A slight back problem that is close to being fully recovered, but ok none the less.

:excl: All is not lost, however. I have, in the bronco's will, decided to transplant any and all components salvagable (engine, tranny, t-case, electrical, fuel, etc.) into a small black samurai that my father use to drive back when I was a young lad. The engine bay should accomodate the narrow v-6 without much modification, and the transmission tunnel is easy to modify for the standard 5-speed.

The bronco's body may have been destroyed, but it's heart and soul shall live on!!!

Brothers of the Cavalry, now is my time of need. Now is the time for me to push it to the next level.

I need your help, brothers. I need your knowlege, your support, and your strength. We will not lose another of our kind to the cruel ways of fate, even if it is unrecognizable among others. It may be different on the outside, bud damn it all it's still gonna be the same ol' Bronko, of which we of Road Crue (my road possie) have all come to know and love.

But my story is not the only one there is, as many have suffered losses similar to mine. But we shall no longer suffer. We shall preserve our kind. The broncos will live on!

ARE YOU WITH ME?!

ARE YOU WITH ME?!

Why don't you just get a big bronco, those can take hits.

Broke, bro. But it was decided between me and the horse some time ago, that if anything were to ever happen to it, we would try to preserve it's spirit in the shell of the 'zuk.

As for it taking a hit, it did pretty good. With about 5-9 thousand dollars, the horse could be as good as new. But I don't think anybody has the kind of money to replace a full front axle system, straighten the frame, graft in a new front clip, etc. The damage, as I said, was not severe enough to touch the engine. ****, it barely made it past breaking the steering shaft, and that's at it's weak point. Stout little bugger....

I bet you will be happier with the Zuk anyway, better power to weight ratio and solid axle. Good luck mi amigo.
