I posted on tech support too. Due to my setup, I need to find an independent method of adjusting v-belt tension. Anyone know where to find an idler pulley and related brackets for v-belts?? How about one that can be used ON TOP of the v-belt? Since contact area on the pulley is important, I'd want the tensioner pulley to be situated on top of the belt. Any such thing?

thanks

I have not heard of anything like it... even did a search and did not find anything.

My guess it is time to get creative! Go to a junk yard, find some different styles of tensioners that might work and try them out. That is what I would do!

Most tensioners are smooth -should be able to ride on the back of a V.

This may be a silly question, but why can't you adjust the belt the way it was designed to be adjusted?
